Porac, Pampanga – A total of Php 1.2 Million was given as a grant for the reconstruction of the Administrative Building of the Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University (DHVTSU) in Porac, Pampanga by the Rotary International District 3730, Kangwon-Do, South Korea headed by Governor Joong Young Choi. A two-storey building was blessed and turned over to the municipality after being renovated by the Rotary International. The ceremony was attended by the members of the rotary and representatives from the local government.
Vice Mayor Dexter Albert A. David, the OIC Mayor of Municipality of Porac, Councilor Mark Valencia, Councilor Ronaldo Gamboa and Councilor Rafael Canlapan, were present to received the ceremonial key.
A ceremonial tree planting was held to signify a continuous friendship among LGU and Rotary International. Shortly afterwards, the program proper commence, attended by students, teachers, department heads and the local government officials.
An audio-visual presentation was shown rendering the brief history and state of the building before and after it was renovated. The blessing of the Administration Building was presided by reverend father Elmer Magat followed by heart-warming messages and sharing by the donors and the unveiling of the marker. The ceremony was capped with a message given by the OIC-Mayor Dexter Albert A. David.
