DILG, DICT Strengthen Streamlined Services through eLGU
In compliance with Republic Act No. 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, the DILG and DICT Regional III conducted the Electronic Local Government Unit (eLGU) Training for the Municipality of Porac, Pampanga on September 21–25, 2026. The five-day training aimed to promote streamlined, digital, and more efficient government processes and service delivery.
The training provided participants with hands-on learning and technical guidance on the implementation of the eLGU system to strengthen digital government services and improve service delivery. Among the services covered by the system are the Business Permits and Licensing System (BPLS), eCedula, Local Civil Registry (eLCR), and eNews, which help LGUs reduce manual transactions and provide more accessible and convenient services to citizens and businesses.
The initiative underscores the continuing collaboration between DILG and DICT in advancing digital transformation at the local level. Through initiatives such as the eLGU Training, LGUs are empowered to harness technology in promoting efficient, transparent, responsive, and citizen-centered public service.
