In a Proactive Step Towards Flood Risk Management

Porac, Pampanga — In a proactive step towards flood risk management, Municipal Mayor Jaime V. Capil, supported by his LGU Task Force, convened with Alviera representatives to discuss a collaborative Flood Mitigation Plan in anticipation of the La Niña season.

Mayor Capil highlighted the urgent need for proactive measures to protect the community and enhance resilience against potential flooding. In response, Alviera has pledged to implement an interim flood mitigation scheme within the next two months.

The partnership will be characterized by ongoing coordination meetings between the LGU’s key personnel and Alviera’s team, ensuring a unified and strategic approach to flood management.

Mayor Capil stressed the importance of shared responsibility between public and private sectors in crafting solutions that balance development with sustainability.
