Performing Arts Workshop

TODAY: A Performing Arts Workshop was held in commemoration of the National Arts Month with participation from the High School Dance Coaches and Performers in Porac.

We were honored to have Sir Peter De Vera as our resource speaker, an esteemed artistic director and choreographer who graciously shared his expertise.

This workshop also served as preparation for the upcoming Balas Festival Street dance performance.

Through this workshop, participants were able to learn and identify the appropriate movements for the dance, reflecting the main industry of our town, the “Sand Industry”, as well as the rich history and culture of Sand (Balas). The workshop also provided an opportunity for participants to share their own knowledge.

In attendance were Sir Robert Canlas, private secretary to the Mayor, Sir Herminigildo Pineda, a visual artist, Ms. Salma Emam-Mutya Ning Kapampangan 2023, and Ms. Ana Clarisse Garcia – Mutya Ning Porac 2023 who showed their support.

The workshop was a resounding success, and we extend our gratitude to our Mayor Jaime V. Capil, Vice Mayor Francis Lawrence “Budoy” Tamayo and the Sangguniang Bayan Members for their unwavering support.
